Rome, Florence, & Assisi
Day 1 - Flight to Rome
Your adventure kicks off today as you hop on an overnight flight to Rome.
Day 2 - Rome, Orvieto, & Assisi
Welcome to Italy! After landing in Rome, you'll meet your tour manager and hop on a luxury motor coach. Our first stop is the stunning city of Orvieto, where you can wander through charming streets, check out the impressive Duomo, and soak in some ancient Etruscan history. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and sip some local Orvieto Classico wine before heading to Assisi for hotel check-in and a welcome dinner.
Day 3 - Assisi
Today’s all about Assisi! You’ll get to visit the Basilica of St. Francis, the Church of St. Clare, and the Cathedral of San Rufino. Don’t miss St. Mary of the Angels and the Porziuncola chapel! There’ll be some free time for you to explore or do a little shopping. Plus, there’s an opportunity to perform during a local Mass if you’re interested.
Day 4 - Assisi to Florence
After breakfast, we’re off to Florence, the heart of the Renaissance. Enjoy a guided tour that includes the Accademia Gallery (home to Michelangelo’s David!), San Marco Museum, and the stunning Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. If you're feeling musical, there’s a chance to perform in a local church.
Day 5 - Florence to Rome
We’ll start with a walking tour around Florence, hitting all the must-sees like the Baptistry, Signoria Square, and Santa Croce. Then, it’s time to transfer back to Rome for check-in at the guest housing. Dinner in Rome will cap off your day nicely.
Day 6 - Papal Audience & Ancient Rome
Get ready for a memorable experience at the weekly Papal Audience! In the afternoon, dive into Ancient Rome with visits to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Capitol Hill, and Circus Maximus. It’s a day packed with history!
Day 7 - Christian Rome
Today, we’ll focus on Christian Rome, touring significant sites like St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, the Holy Stairs, and the Basilica of the Holy Cross. If you’re up for it, there’s also an optional evening concert in a local church.
Day 8 - Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel
Today’s itinerary includes a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. If you want to stretch your legs, there’s an optional evening walk to see the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona.
Day 9 - Rome
Spend the day exploring Rome’s iconic piazzas, like Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Campo de’ Fiori, and Piazza Venezia. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop, sightsee, or just relax at a café. In the evening, there’s a chance for another choir performance if you’re up for it. We'll gather for a farewell dinner at a local Roman restaurant to celebrate our unforgettable journey. You’ll be spending the night in Rome.
Day 10 - Departure
Finally, your journey comes to an end as you head to the airport for your flight back home.
